It’s Holiday Time! (Part Two: Gift Guide)

Tuesday, November 17th, 2009

Now that we’ve talked about holiday card ideas, it’s time to figure out what to give all the people on our lists! We thought this would be a great time to give you the 411 on some new products and point you in the direction of some best-selling favorites. Ready? OK!

Ceramics

Ornament Ornaments
Ornaments can be printed with your gal, or a group of people. How cute would it be to celebrate baby’s first Christmas by putting your family on an ornament? You can even personalize the back of the ornament with your own text!
Bank

Banks
Our banks are a cute way to save up your pocket change, and they make a great gift to teach kids the value of saving up those loose coins!

Caddy Kitchen Caddy
Give the chef in your life a cute way to personalize the kitchen and keep things organized! The person of your choosing is printed on both sides, and the caddy comes with a wooden fork and spoon.
Mug Mugs
Got a coworker who always seems to be losing his or her mug somewhere in the office? Make the daily hunt for the coffee mug a lot easier by putting him or her ON the mug!

Metallics

Got a friend who always seems to be looking for a tape measure? Got a friend who keeps losing her keys? Put her gal on a key ring and everyone who sees her key ring will know exactly who the keys belong to!

Money Clip Money Clip

Does your husband have a case of "Constanza wallet"? Put his pockets on a diet by getting him this handy, streamlined money clip. It’s also great for those "tiny evening bag" nights, when your whole wallet is just too hefty!

Great for trips to the store or just carrying your stuff in style! Our totes are made of 10-ounce, 100% pre-consumer recycled cotton canvas and have reinforced straps.
Apron Apron
Give your favorite chef or grillmaster his or her very own apron! The apron comes with a wooden form and spoon which can be customized with your text. Makes a great addition to the kitchen caddy!
To-Do or Not To-Do Pads
Our to-do list pads are great for busy moms, bosses, or students who could use a hand with organization! We hear that they also make great "honey-do" lists :)

Organization is made surprisingly simple with this tri-fold desk agenda! It features sticky notes, a "2-weeks at a glance" pad and a memo pad, and it’s small enough to be folded closed and tossed in a tote if necessary!

Mini Accordion File
With a notepad on one side and mini accordion on the other, it’s a great way to organize a shopping list along with coupons or a to-do list along with receipts, business cards or those other random bits of paper in your purse!
CD/DVD Labels
Putting a mix CD along with a gift? Burning DVDs of family home movies? Give them a personal touch with your own labels!
Return Address Labels

Great for putting return addresses on your holiday cards, or you can give return address labels as a gift to a friend!

Print at home all you want for a year!

Gal to Gal Walk: Still Going! Giving Away Another Trip!

Thursday, November 12th, 2009

We haven’t met our $250,000 goal yet, but we’re not going to give up! We’re extending the walk until we meet our goal, and we’re giving away another trip! If you haven’t joined, make sure you go to galtogalwalk.org and sign up. It’s only 5 bucks, and it will help us grant holiday wishes for women with Stage IV Breast Cancer! (Click here for a list of wishes we hope to grant this holiday)

Virtual Walk Trip Winners
As you may remember, we gave away a Universal Vacation Club trip to our top 2 fund raisers in the 2009 walk. The winners came from Organize the Whole Shebang and the Organize in Style blog! They have graciously offered to donate their trips as wishes for Stage IV Breast Cancer patients!

Another Chance to Win!
Since we’re extending the walk, we’re going to be giving away another trip! Who’s eligible? Everyone who donates (or joins the walk) by the end of 2009 and everyone who has already donated. The winner will receive a one-week stay in a one-bedroom suite at any Universal Vacation Club resort. Stay tuned to see if you won!

It’s Virtual Walk Time!

Wednesday, September 30th, 2009

Tomorrow is October 1, which means that we’re just about to kick off another virtual walk to grant wishes for Stage IV Breast Cancer patients (www.galtogalwalk.org)! It goes a little something like this: you join, design your walker, then watch as she and her buddies walk past the landscapes of various U.S. cities. The gals walk cross-country, but you can sit on the office chair, couch or bed of your choice. This may be the only walk for breast cancer that you can do while cooking dinner. With Larry King! (Walking with Larry King, that is; if you’re cooking dinner with Larry King, tell him we say “hi.”)

The money raised will go to the Gal to Gal Foundation, which grants wishes for Stage IV Breast Cancer patients. There’s more information about wishes that have been grants in the past and wishes we hope to grant in the future here.

Mini-Meetup at P.F. Chang’s

Tuesday, August 25th, 2009

Most of us gals are scattered around the country, so we usually don’t see each other face to face very much. Our founding gal’s travels recently brought about a gathering at P.F. Chang’s. Lettuce wraps for all!
