Gal to Gal Foundation Shines Positive Light on the
Dark Topic of Stage IV Breast Cancer

The Gal to Gal Foundation is an organization specifically created to seek help for patients suffering from Stage IV breast cancer.   The non-profit partner of Design-her Gals, the foundation receives a percentage of every purchase made on www.designhergals.com and forges a global community of caring, intelligent women who want to make a positive difference in the lives of others.

Jeanne Fitzmaurice, founder of Design-her Gals created the Gal to Gal Foundation when she was personally affected by this disease when two women close to her lost their battles to Stage IV breast cancer. Their brave fight, and their openness about the process of living with and dying from this illness, enabled her to witness firsthand the challenges and opportunities of a life-altering disease.

Although many wonderful organizations support breast cancer research, prevention and treatment for early stages, minimal dollars are dedicated to Stage IV needs. The reality is, until breast cancer is extinguished in all forms, there will be those who do not respond to the treatments that are currently available. As Foundation Chairperson Carrie Dederich puts it, "Cancer is an equal opportunity destroyer. No matter your age, race, economic or educational status, cancer can strike at any time.” Resources for women living with Stage IV pale in comparison to available resources for patients with early-stage cancer.

Using an empowering, light-hearted vehicle to communicate this message, Designhergals.com is not only fun, it’s a highly addictive website allowing the user to create her own virtual likeness and produce it on an assortment of personalized stationery and gift items.  DHG’s interactive technology engages users to select customized attributes (skin tone, body style, hair style/color) with hundreds of outfits and accessories to represent their style and attitude. Cancer patients are also represented, and the Gals can wear head scarves, choose stubble or no hair, and choose clothing with sayings to carry a message for the cause, such as “Cancer Sucks” and “Got Cure?” The Gals can always wear the pink ribbon. In addition to purchasing the products, Gals can be sent on free e-cards to further carry out this important message.

Jeanne’s mantra of “purpose before personal profitability” has, ironically, driven the success of Design-her Gals, and has allowed this for-profit company to set a goal to raise $1,000,000 for the Gal to Gal Foundation over the next three years. These funds will be dedicated to Making Memories, an organization who grants wishes exclusively for Stage IV patients and their families, and will also to help sponsor a global web site designed to support Stage IV resources.

Design-her Gals is spreading this compelling message through national media and celebrity attention, and through the viral support of a community that has grown to more than 150,000 in 2006, increasing over 10% per month with an expected community of 250,000 by July 2007. Through Jeanne’s dedication and business savvy, Design-her Gals and the Gal to Gal Foundation will increase awareness of those diagnosed in Stage IV breast cancer, and play a role in supporting thousands of patients each year struggling to live out their lives with dignity.

Go From Click to Chic With The New Design-her Gals.
New Personalized Stationery Captures You to a T-Shirt or Little Black Dress

After going live only a couple of weeks ago and signing more than 3,000 users onto www.designhergals.com, it is confirmed, "Monogrammed stationery is so last year!" The ultimate signature accessory is paper personalized with your own custom caricature. Design-her Gals, an innovative new stationery company, has officially launched a dynamic process for you to create contemporary invitations, note cards, announcements and calling cards, all bearing your likeness in the form of a sassy illustration - right down to your own hair color and hair style, eye color, designer outfits and fashionable accessories. This is writing with all the write stuff!

Already available through catalogues at hundreds of stationers, Design-her Gals recently brought its concept to the next level. With the launch of www.designhergals.com, a sophisticated, web-based, interactive lookbook, developed to help you create a new you in just a few minutes.

Design-her Gals even takes a bold and empathetic approach for women suffering from cancer, offering headscarves and t-shirts with slogans such as "Got Cure?" and "Cancer Sucks." In fact, a portion of proceeds from all sales will be donated to the Gal to Gal Foundation, a not-for-profit foundation that assists women with final stage breast cancer.

Dressed For Success
As you step into the "Gal-leria", your "Gal Pal", in bathrobe and turban -- her eyes, two round cucumber slices -- stands waiting for a brand new look. As you select your hair color and hair style, eye color, skin tone and favorite outfits, the Gal Pal morphs into a fully pulled together caricature, who's just like you, only better. She never has to diet, is perfectly dressed, and never has a bad hair day.

A Design-her Gal can help a woman playfully express her most un-expressed thoughts. One of the company's most popular items is a set of "calling cards", imprinted with personal caricature, phone number and the message, "We met last night. Give me a call."

Ready For Any Occasion
Design-her Gals can be customized for just about any occasion, from engagement announcements showing off a real crystal ring to party invitations that feature you and all your friends. Once your personalized greetings are designed online, you can print them at home, if you are a registered member of the site, or the stationer will take care of having them printed for you, usually in just four days. It's so easy...you can have multiple personalities to suit your whim: weekday power broker, weekend soccer mom. There is also a separate section on the site for "Maternity Gals", for those who are expecting. For divas in training, Design-her Gals also features "Design-her Girls" aged 5-12, with age-appropriate hairstyles and clothing suggestions, perfect for birthday parties, graduations and Bat Mitzvahs.

Looking For Something Haute
For those of you who are looking for something haute, Design-her Gals offers a special couture service. Simply send in the look you are going for and the Design-her Gals team will dress you in your favorite designer looks; it is like having your own stylist! As a matter of fact, celebrities such as Eva Longoria, Mischa Barton, Paris Hilton and Alicia Keyes have already put some of their favorite ensembles on paper.

The Visionary
Design-her Gals was founded by Jeanne Fitzmaurice, an entrepreneur who recognized the importance of a personalized stationery line that expresses the multi-facets of a woman, literally and metaphorically. Fitzmaurice hopes to carve out her niche in the $7.5 billion dollar stationery industry, taking self-expression and female empowerment to the next level.
